Frequently Asked Questions

  • It's okay!! Just send me your sizing (small, medium, large, etc.) and your cup size. If you're purchasing pants, be sure to let me know your number sizing (6, 8, 12, etc.) and height.

  • A commission is a crochet piece that you’d like to purchase but isn’t explicitly posted on the site. It could be a photo from Pinterest, my Instagram, or even something posted on the site that you would like to purchase in a different size, color, or length. Keep in mind that if you find it on Pinterest, there isn’t a 100% guarantee that I’ll be able to crochet it; it’s more like a 95% chance.

  • Email me at arameisawesome@gmail.com with a picture of the piece you want, your measurements (hip, bust, waist, and general sizes), and make sure to note if you want a different color or length and if you want me to add sleeves. Then I’ll email you back with a quote, you’ll send me a deposit of half, and I’ll start working on it!

  • 100% yes! I can crochet anything in any size. If you would like to purchase anything in a different size email me @arameisawesome with the piece you want and your measurements and ill email you back. After that send a deposit of half the price and ill’ll get to work! Remember that an item's price is the same between all sizes; there is no upcharge.

  • Great question! Everthing is shipped pre-tied so you’ll see how things are tied. Also if you are still confused (I completely get it) email me at arameisawesome@gmail.com and I can help you out. Keep in mind most things are a halter neck with corset-like ties in the back.

  • Crochet is stretchy, so it can fit a lot of different bodies easily. Even though it’s stretchy, it’s not necessarily one size fits all so I use ranges. Also take into account if a piece has straps or not, if it does it’ll definitely range in sizing because the straps can be tied tighter or looser depending on preferred look.

  • Yes, I do! I don’t have a dependable schedule, but when I have something coming up I make sure to post it on my site and in my instagram bio. Also join my email list if you’d like to have dates like that in your inbox.

  • Thank you for thinking of me! Email me with details at arameisawesom@gmail.com, and we can discuss it further. Keep in mind that my teaching rate is 80 dollars an hour, and I can bring my own materials.

  • It definitely depends on how sensitive your skin is, but generally speaking no, it’s not. I either use cotton or acrylic yarn and they’re both pretty soft to the touch, but if you do have especially sensitive skin email me at arameisawesome@gmail.com and I will put a fabric lining in the piece/s of your choice, keep in mind it will be an upcharge of $10.00.

  • Washing crochet items is not hard at all. There are two things you should remember. First, no heat, meaning wash on cold and air dry while laying flat. If you dry things on a hanger, it could warp the shape or length of your item. Second, don’t throw your crochet piece in with large loads of laundry. A small load is okay but if you can wash them individually or only with other crochet items, do that. If you do these, your piece will last you years!

  • No, it won’t. I wouldn’t run a marathon in your crochet piece, but everything I make is made to last. Regular wear won’t cause it to unravel. Dance your heart out, don’t worry.

  • Not really, but a little bit. Crochet isn’t 100% opaque, but it’s not something you can see right through. Generally speaking, you could go without a bra and still not be looking at straight nipple. The gaps between stitches are there, but they’re so small that they’re insignificant. When a piece is stretched, the gaps appear larger, but as long as you’re not trying to squeeze into something multiple sizes too small, you don’t have to worry!

  • Although I can't give you a 100% guarantee, they will! Crochet is stretchy, and your piece will form to your body even if your chest size is larger than the average small, medium, or large. And if it's a major concern for you, email me at arameisawesome@gmail.com, and we’ll talk more about it.

  • Yes ma’am! I’m just cool like that.
